Getting ready

We went to a sporting goods store today to get a day pack for carrying around our water bottles and other necessities when we go hiking. Now all we need is a mule.

Brusha, Brusha, Brusha.

Here's the new Ipana with a brand new flavor! It's dandy for your te-e-e-e-eth.

(For those of you too young to remember, this little ditty is from a 1950s TV commercial, starring Bucky Beaver. Oh, such a culture-rich period!)

I hadn't been to a sporting goods store in years. I'd forgotten all the great stuff you can find in there. Like a solid mahogany turkey call, to use when hunting mahogany turkeys for that special Thanksgiving. Unlike boneless chickens, those dudes will really stand up to a carving knife.

One more day before we start on our trip and the excitement mounts. The suitcases have come out of storage and Malcolm is getting very nervous. Stay tuned!
